Kamal was born and raised in the southern town of Macon, Georgia. His hometown is known for its rich musical history, having produced some of the most beloved singers and musicians of all time - such as Otis Redding and Little Richard. Music has always been a major part of Kamal's life. His parents would routinely play the music of legendary artists like Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and The Temptations during his childhood. Kamal discovered other talented artists later in life, with Prince leaving a lifelong impression on him.

Over the years, Kamal has shared the stage with iconic R&B act The Whispers. With the much anticipated release of his debut album Love, Happiness & Soul, he is hoping to make his own unique mark on the music industry. Standing at 6'7", most of today's R&B artists already "look up" to Kamal. It is his hope that they will respect and appreciate him as a fellow artist after hearing his debut album.

Kamal's mission is to usher in a return to a time when male R&B artists wrote songs that honored and respected the women they loved, while embracing good clean fun. The album features a tonal variety of tracks; including the first single "Dancin" - a bonafide dance groove, the sensual record "Only One You" and the classic ballad "Smile."

Kamal looks forward to sharing the stage with top urban artists while touring the country and abroad in order to promote his debut album. But more importantly, he is excited to connect with his loyal fans - who are affectionately known as #KamalsKrew.
